This series of abstracted landscapes were spurred on by my memories of hikes, road trips, and explorations in 2019. Scenes from around the midwest and the Smoky mountains dominated our travels that year and these are the snapshots that I remember of times spent in wonder and peace wandering aroudn with my family. These small paintings are lovingly painted in layers of watercolor on Aquaboard, a hard panel surface.
