An Over the Top Creative Summer Experience

ART AT THE DISCO Ages 11-14

Monday-Friday, June 10th-14th, 12-2:15pm

Explore how light, color, and form interact as we paint, sculpt, and manipulate reflective surfaces. Students will work with a variety of materials as they complete a large scale painting on wood panel, invent a form using plaster and cover it with small mirrors to make a melting disco ball, and experiment with abstract shapes to make a desktop mirror.

Students will use a variety of tools and materials including, powders, plaster, balloons, glass, spray paint, sharp tools, and alcohol inks. It is important that students are able to follow directions and use tools and materials responsibly.
