A unique hand printed art piece from a hand carved block.

Based upon a friendly cardinal that came to our bird feeder daily during the Winter months. We have a bird feeder that sits directly outside our dining room window and it’s a common sitting and observing spot for our entire family. Our family all looked forward to the daily visits from a fairly bold and inquisitive pair of cardinals. This print was made from observations of the male cardinal that would join us for pancakes most mornings.

Starting with a sketch, I make a drawing that is transferred to a soft rubber block. I hand carve my original drawing and then print using high quality pigmented inks on acid free art paper.
